MIMOA – the global architecture guide – launched a crowdfund campaign on Kickstarter to develop a new MIMOA, that finally will make it possible to search and scan nearby architectural highlights and hidden gems on your smartphone!
So if you love architecture: go to Kickstarter and donate to MIMOA!
In the past 11 years MIMOA proved its success as an architecture travel guide.
With a small enthusiastic team and growing community of over 40.000 architects and architecture lovers, they have built up a global brand and database with 10.000 buildings in over 90 different countries, attracting almost 1 million visitors per year.
And now they want to move on. However, in order to take MIMOA to the next level, the platform needs to renew and improve. And therefor Mieke Vullings, founder of MIMOA, is reaching out to all architects and architecture fans around the world to help raise the budget of € 70.000. You can donate any amount that it is worth to you. Whoever considers to pledge more than € 10, can choose from various fun rewards.
The new MIMOA will lead to a faster growing community of like-minded architecture fans, an increase of high quality content and better geographical coverage. Therewith MIMOA will make it easier to explore new destinations, and also re-discover the unknown closer to home.
“I strongly believe in the future of MIMOA because there are still so much architectural treasures to be unearthed. With architecture as our mutual passion, I am convinced that together we can take MIMOA to the next level”, Mieke Vullings, founder of MIMOA.
And they are not alone on this! No other than Kai-Uwe Bergmann (BIG) and Jacob van Rijs (MVRDV) support this campaign by offering a tour around their offices and a personal meet&greet.
And Julian Weyer (C.F. Møller Architects) is fan as well, he even shared a short video urging architects and fans around the world to support MIMOA.
